Kellen Moore is a West Coast legend and is ready to lead his own NFL team

While Quinn could make sense to return to Seattle as Carroll’s replacement, the candidate the Seahawks need to hire is Quinn’s Dallas colleague in Cowboys offensive coordinator Kellen Moore. He is the perfect combination of an up-and-coming offensive mind with serious West Coast ties. The Washington native became a college football legend quarterbacking the Boise State Broncos.

Despite not having an NFL arm, Moore did have a respectable playing career as a backup quarterback with two franchises before getting into coaching. He hails from a coaching family and is still only in his early 30s. What makes this fit a potentially great one is he will have time to grow into his own as a head coach while the Seahawks begin to rebuild, with or without Russell Wilson.

Though Wilson may be interested in playing for Hackett, Quinn or whoever Seattle replaces Carroll with, if the Seahawks go in that direction, we have seen great things happen in the NFC when head-coaching/quarterback combos are peers. Just look at Aaron Rodgers and Matt LaFleur in Green Bay, as well as Matthew Stafford and Sean McVay in year one with the Los Angeles Rams.

Hiring Moore takes a ton of pressure off the Seahawks to win now and prepare for a bright future.
