The inconsistent Chargers hosted the Broncos looking to end a brief two-game losing streak. Justin Herbert threw for 237 yards and a pair of scores to Keenan Allen and Mike Williams, respectively.
Austin Ekeler ran for 58 yards and one score. And after a Denver field goal in the fourth quarter, special teams’ star Andre Roberts returned the ensuing kickoff 101 yards for a touchdown. The Los Angeles’ defense limited the Broncos to 83 yards rushing.
The Silver and Black headed to Indianapolis looking to take a step closer to a playoff appearance. The team got on the board first via a two-yard TD run by Josh Jacobs. The Raiders owned a 10-point lead in the second quarter but would give up the lead.
Derek Carr had an interesting afternoon, throwing a pair of interceptions but also coming through with 225 yards passing and a score. And tied at 20-20, he drove the club to the game-winning field goal.
The Birds took a three-game winning streak into Washington. Back in Week 15, Philadelphia came away with a 27-17 Tuesday night home victory. This time around, Nick Sirianni’s club was down 10-0 after 15 minutes and trailed by nine points at intermission.
The defense rose to the occasion in the second half, pitched a shutout and gave up only 81 total yards in the final two quarters. And Philadelphia would earn a playoff invitation by Sunday night.
