2. A.J. Dillon will get 25+ carries

Losing Aaron Jones to injury would be disastrous for Green Bay’s Super Bowl dreams. That’s why Dillon should expect to get a ton of work this week as his team tries to secure a boring victory over their division rivals.

In truth, this blueprint won’t be too different from what the Packers did last week against the Vikings. Dillon got 14 carries for 63 yards and a pair of touchdowns against Minnesota. Jones was the more efficient rusher, but Dillon soaked up more volume to protect him.

The workload difference should be even more pronounced this week. Jones might get a handful of carries early in the game, but there’s no reason Green Bay should have him on the field for anything close to an extended period of time. If Jones gets more than five carries then LaFleur deserves significant criticism.

That makes Dillon an exceptional fantasy football play this week in leagues that are still going on. He’s going to be used as a weapon to hammer the Lions’ defense into submission. A 25+ carry day should allow Dillon to go over the century mark on the ground.
