1. Jordan Love will throw more passes than Aaron Rodgers

Packers fans interested in the team’s prospects for next season might want to pay close attention to Sunday’s game against the Lions. It could be a long look at the team’s starting quarterback for the 2022 campaign.

Rodgers is a decent bet to start the game, but Love is going to see more action. In fact, he’ll get the chance to throw more passes than the future Hall-of-Famer on Sunday. Neither quarterback will get a ton of throws in, but Love is going to be the more frequent passer.

20 passing attempts for Love should be enough to lead Green Bay to a relatively comfortable win. LaFleur and the offensive coaching staff will give him a few chances to work the ball down the field, but the majority of his efforts will come on short patterns and a variety of check-downs.

Next. Aaron Rodgers is mad at the Packers' coaching staff (again). dark

This game won’t serve as a meaningful referendum on Love’s qualifications to take over for Rodgers next season but it will give Packers’ fans a little glimpse into his skillset. He’s going to be under center for at least three quarters of action in this one.
