2022 NFL Mock Draft: Houston Texans pass on a QB, stick with Davis Mills

Picks No. 19 through 22

54. . Edge. Philadelphia Eagles. David Ojabo. 19. player

The Philadelphia Eagles escaped a horrifying moment in Week 17, and it did not happen in the game against the Washington Football Team. As Jalen Hurts was exiting the field, the stands nearly fell on him, and would certainly have ended his season if he has been closer to the railing.

Luckily for the Eagles, Hurts was fine, and they punched their ticket to the playoffs, which is an incredible accomplishment. With their second of three first-round picks, the Eagles bring in an elite edge rusher, adding Michigan star David Ojabo to a revamped unit in the City of Brotherly Love.

13. . Defensive Tackle. Los Angeles Chargers. DeMarvin Leal. 20. player

As it stands, the Los Angeles Chargers are a playoff team, but their dreams could come to an end with a loss to the Las Vegas Raiders in Week 18. The Chargers are a team that many believe could make a Super Bowl run if they get into the playoffs, thanks to the strong play of quarterback Justin Herbert.

On defense, the Chargers are going to need some help next offseason, and one player they could target in the 2022 NFL Draft is DeMarvin Leal. This is a guy who is going to be an elite run-stuffer at the next level, but he also has the athleticism to cause havoc in the backfield.

Philadelphia Eagles. Devin Lloyd. 21. player. 54. . Linebacker

The Philadelphia Eagles are in great shape as a franchise, as they made the playoffs this season, and have three first-round draft picks in 2022. They have already added talent to two levels of the defense in the first round, and with this pick, they complete the process, adding a linebacker.

That linebacker is Devin Lloyd, who has the talent to definitely make an impact at the next level in Year 1. Lloyd is an incredibly athletic linebacker, can be a three-down guy at the next level and will help bolster a weak unit in Philadelphia.

22. player. 59. . Offensive Lineman. Miami Dolphins. Tyler Linderbaum

The Miami Dolphins saw their playoff dreams come to an end, and like many teams in the NFL heading into next season, they have some issues when it comes to the quarterback spot. Tua Tagovailoa won a bunch of games this season, but he has not been as consistent as the team would have liked, and they could be in the market for Deshaun Watson this offseason.

No matter who is under center for the Dolphins next season, they need help along the offensive line, and they get some here in the player of Tyler Linderbaum from Iowa. Linderbaum is an elite interior offensive line talent, and after adding talent on the outside in the 2021 NFL Draft, they bolster the interior here.
