Trevor Siemian, QB

The Saints were already at a disadvantage when it came to the quarterback position entering the 2021 season. Luckily for them, Jameis Winston was playing well and kept the Saints afloat in the NFC South. But then, he suffered a torn ACL in Week 8 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

With Winston out, head coach Sean Payton looked towards Trevor Siemian, who did just enough to help New Orleans pull out the upset over Tampa Bay. But since he was named the starting quarterback, Siemian failed to lead the Saints to a single victory in four starts.

Entering Week 18, Siemian completed 57.2-percent of his passes for 1,083 yards, nine touchdowns and three interceptions in five games.

The Saints need to address the quarterback position, which could very well occur in the first-round of the NFL Draft or on the trading block. Either way, Siemian is set to be a free agent in 2022.
