2. George Pickens will catch two touchdowns

George Pickens has had a long road back from the ACL injury he suffered during spring practice in 2021. He was supposed to be “the guy” but he had to work his way through rehab before finally returning to action against Georgia Tech at the end of November.

In three games, Pickens has four catches, including two for 41 yards against Alabama last time they met. He hasn’t caught a touchdown since Jan. 1, 2021 against Cincinnati.

It’s time for Pickens to put in a breakout performance and he’ll do that by finding the endzone.

1. Alabama will beat Georgia 28-24

In this era of college football, there is only one rule: Don’t bet against Nick Saban.

When it comes to matchups between Georgia and Alabama, that rule is tried and true. Saban has a seven-game winning streak going against the Bulldogs going back to 2008. His first year at Alabama in 2007 featured his only loss in the series.

Matchups are more than just their history, of course. It’s just that this Crimson Tide team has already beaten, soundly, this Georgia team. This time it should be much closer.

When it comes down to it, it’s safer to bet on Bryce Young than Stetson Bennett. And it’s always safer to bet on Saban.
