8. Devonte Wyatt, Georgia defensive tackle

To the surprise of no-one who has watched college football this season, the Georgia defense, in-particular the front seven, has multiple names on this list. The first of those is Devonte Wyatt, one of the Bulldogs multiple talented defensive lineman.

A former JUCO prospect, Wyatt is an experienced player along Georgia’s defensive front having been a key contributor for the Bulldogs defense for each of the past four years, a span that has culminated with a career-year in 2021 that includes 35 tackles and 2.5 sacks.

At 6-foot-3 and 315 pounds, the experienced senior is not only a disruptive run-stopper in the middle of the Georgia defensive front, but also a capable pass rusher who has totaled five sacks during his four season’s in Athens. Combine this with his previous track record of success playing in the SEC, and Wyatt could be an early day two target, especially for teams needing depth along the defensive line.

No, Wyatt likely won’t be a first round pick in this year’s NFL Draft, but will be a sought-after defensive line prospect in rounds two-or-three who could play a role for a team from day one. As for potential fits, many teams, including the hometown Falcons, you could argue certainly make sense.
