The New England Patriots have just been there all season when it comes to the playoff standings. They went back and forth with the Buffalo Bills for the lead in the AFC East, and now they are facing off in the first round of the playoffs. In both matchups against the Bills, Harris was amazing. He had 111 yards on 10 carries in the Patriots’ first matchup with the Bills, and he scored three touchdowns in the second matchup.

The Patriots are always looming when it comes to the postseason. Bill Belichick could always provide a game plan that just throws everyone off. On offense, it will come down to Harris. The Patriots don’t completely trust Mac Jones to win them games. He is still a rookie, after all. The Patriots’ offense has relied on the run game. Sometimes it works, but other times, like in the Miami game, it doesn’t.

This Pats team also loves using Rhamondre Stevenson, and that has taken away some of the rub from Harris, but the veteran of the two still has over 900 yards this season. He has (14) touchdowns this season, which is second in the NFL. He’s a scoring machine, and the Patriots are doing this after James White was knocked out for the season.

Harris can become a star in the playoffs if the Patriots go on an unlikely run. In a day and age where running backs are considered an afterthought, Harris is key to pushing one of the NFL’s best franchises. If they can even win a game, it will be on the legs of Harris. If they want to go on a run, Harris is the one who will be doing the running.
