Green Bay Packers running back AJ Dillon is donating his huge winnings from playing fantasy football to local charities.

Real life and fantasy intersected this NFL season in a very unusual way.

That’s because real life Packers running back AJ Dillon joined a fantasy football league.

Best of all? He won the whole thing.

The fantasy sports app Sleeper invited Dillon to play in their celebrity league when he mentioned on Twitter that he was thinking about playing fantasy football this year, per NBC26.

The league included a $35,000 prize, though Dillon is not allowed to accept it per NFL rules. So instead he’s donating that large chunk of change to local charities in Green Bay.

The Cancer Team at Bellin Health is getting $25,000. Dillon felt connected to that organization because his future mother-in-law received treatment there for breast cancer.

Dillon is also giving $10,000 to Willow Tree Cornerstone Child Advocacy Center, a community center that helps law enforcement, district attorneys and child protective services conduct investigations of child abuse and neglect.

Now that Dillon has won his fantasy league, and did an awesome thing for his community, the running back can focus entirely on helping the Packers follow in his winning ways.

Dillon is in his second season with Green Bay, who drafted him in the second round of the 2020 NFL Draft out of Boston College. He started just two games this year but racked up 803 yards and five touchdowns on 187 carries. He also scored two receiving touchdowns.
