2022 NFL Mock Draft: Draft order set for first 18 picks

Picks No. 15 through 18

Wide Receiver. Philadelphia Eagles. Garrett Wilson. 15. player. 54.

The Philadelphia Eagles hold three first-round picks in the 2022 NFL Draft, the first coming via the Miami Dolphins. For the Eagles, they could not be in a better situation to continue to move this franchise in the right direction, as they not only have all these first-round picks but have punched their ticket to the playoffs this season.

Their first of three picks is one they should look to the offensive side of the ball for, adding Ohio State wide receiver Garrett Wilson. Jalen Hurts proved he can be a franchise quarterback in 2021, but he needs more weapons, and Wilson can certainly help them right away.

16. player. 54. . Linebacker. Philadelphia Eagles. Nakobe Dean

The Philadelphia Eagles will not have to wait long to make their second first-round pick, as it will come at No. 16, directly after they pick at No. 15 overall. This pick comes to the Eagles via the Indianapolis Colts, who had one of the biggest choke jobs in NFL history, losing to the Las Vegas Raiders and Jacksonville Jaguars in ‘win-and-in’ situations in Week 17 and 18.

With this pick, the Eagles can now look to focus on the defensive side of the ball, and they do so by selecting Georgia linebacker Nakobe Dean. This is a player who should be a three-down linebacker at the next level, as he is an elite tackler, and solid in coverage.

. Wide Receiver. Los Angeles Chargers. Drake London. 17. player. 13

Pick No. 17 belongs to the Los Angeles Chargers, who went into their game against the Las Vegas Raiders on Sunday night needing to tie or win to get into the playoffs. With a tie likely at the end of overtime, head coach Brandon Staley decided to call a timeout, and with that, the Raiders changed their plans, kicking a game-winning field goal.

Now, the Chargers will be watching the playoffs with the other 18 teams that missed out and will begin to look towards next offseason. They have an elite quarterback in Justin Herbert, and here, they add a Pac-12 talent at wide receiver to the mix, selecting Drake London from USC.

15. . Offensive Lineman. New Orleans Saints. Kenyon Green. 18. player

The final team to pick in the first round that is set in stone heading into this weekend is the New Orleans Saints, who missed out on the playoffs this season. They had a strong year considering they had big-time issues at quarterback and will look to get a healthy Jameis Winston back for a playoff push in 2022.

To do so, they will have to get some help up front along the offensive line, and they do so by adding Kenyon Green from Texas A&M here at pick No. 18 overall. One of the more versatile offensive linemen in this draft class, Green could be long gone by the time the Saints pick, but if not, he adds so much talent in front of Winston next season.
