Georgia football fans have every reason to believe they can repeat as national champions.

Though repeating is so incredibly difficult, the Georgia football program is well-equipped to make it back-to-back national titles by this time next year.

Georgia is coming off its best season ever, as the Dawgs went 14-1, won the SEC East, the Orange Bowl over Michigan and then avenged its SEC Championship Game loss to the Alabama Crimson Tide in the College Football Playoff National Championship Game. Though the likes of Alabama and Ohio State will be among the teams in it next year, here is why Georgia is capable of repeating.

Kirby Smart is not done winning national championships this decade leading his alma mater.

Georgia football: 5 reasons why Dawgs will repeat as national champions

5. Georgia’s 2022 schedule suggest it will get to Atlanta at either 12-0 or 11-1

A huge advantage Georgia has is the Dawgs play in the SEC East. While teams like Kentucky, South Carolina and Tennessee should be worthy adversaries next year, Georgia once again has a favorable schedule. They draw a middle-of-the-pack Mississippi State in cross-divisional rotation, as well as a rebuilding Auburn team. Oregon will be interesting, but Georgia can get 12-0 or 11-1.

4. Georgia is well-equipped to offset losing Dan Lanning to the Oregon job

Losing an elite coordinator like Dan Lanning is tough-sledding, but the Dawgs are well-equipped to offset that loss. They have the likes of Glenn Schumman, Jahmile Addae and Will Muschamp on staff. Smart is a defensive-minded head coach any way. Lanning should have great success in Eugene, but he is about to start his Oregon campaign out 0-1 after losing to Georgia in Atlanta.

Anything less than an 11-1 regular-season mark and an SEC East title will be a disappointment.
