The Bills defense is No. 1

Josh Allen came into his own in the playoffs last year but he couldn’t finish the deal. He’s a year older now and even more capable of leading this Bills team to the promised land.

In the Buffalo chill, he played some of his best ball against the Patriots on Saturday night. He lit up Bill Belichick’s defense with five passing touchdowns while completing 21-of-25 attempts for 308 yards. He also ran for 66 yards on six carries.

Buffalo a capable rushing attack headed by Devin Singletary and a receiving corps full of players who will support Allen every step of the way from Stefon Diggs to Dawson Knox. It’s a deeper group than Buffalo brought to the AFC Championship Game last year.

Still, when it comes down to it, the Buffalo defense is what has to make the difference in Kansas City. The unit that let the Chiefs put up 38 points on them looks a whole lot different now as the No. 1 defense in the league.

They won’t let the game get out of hand this time. If anyone is going to keep Patrick Mahomes from advancing, it’s the Bills.
