NFL Divisional round schedule 2022: Dates and times
Super Wild Card Weekend isn’t over quite yet but the NFL has already released the full schedule for the Divisional Round.
Year two wasn’t as dynamic for Super Wild Card Weekend, which saw two of its first three games quickly morph into one-sided blowouts while the other was marred by a critical blown call. The good news for NFL fans is that the Divisional Round should offer more competitive football as the cream is starting to rise to the top in the postseason.
The NFL officially released the full schedule for next weekend’s action during the Sunday Night matchup between the Pittsburgh Steelers and Kansas City Chiefs. The result of tomorrow’s game is still pending but here is what we know right now about the Divisional Round schedule.
NFL Divisional Round schedule: Dates and Times
Saturday, Jan. 22
Cincinnati Bengals (11-7) at Tennessee Titans (12-5): 4:30 p.m. ET on CBS
San Francisco 49ers (11-7) at Green Bay Packers (13-4): 8:15 p.m. ET on FOX
The Divisional Round will start with the Bengals, once again, who will take on the top seed in the AFC, the Tennessee Titans. CBS hasn’t confirmed which broadcast team will be on the call for this game but expect their B-team of Ian Eagle and Charles Davis to get this assignment.
The nightcap will feature the Packers coming off of their first-round bye against the San Francisco 49ers, setting up a rematch of the 2019 NFC Championship Game. This contest is FOX’s only game of the weekend so Joe Buck and Troy Aikman will be at Lambeau Field.
Sunday, Jan. 23
Arizona Cardinals (11-6)/Los Angeles Rams (12-5) at Tampa Bay Buccaneers (14-4): 3:05 p.m. ET on NBC
Buffalo Bills (12-6) at Kansas City Chiefs (13-5): 6:40 p.m. on CBS
NBC will get a rare day game as they draw the trip to Tampa Bay to see Tom Brady seek another trip to the NFC Championship game against the winner of Monday’s Rams/Cardinals matchup in Los Angeles. Al Michaels and Cris Collinsworth will be on the call for this one in their final tuneup for Super Bowl LVI.
The game of the weekend is Bills-Chiefs, a rematch of last season’s AFC Championship Game which Kansas City won 38-24. Jim Nantz and Tony Romo will be at Arrowhead Stadium as CBS closes out Divisional Weekend.
