2022 NFL Mock Draft: Playoffs continue to shape first round

Picks No. 19 through 22

Philadelphia Eagles. Jameson Williams. 19. player. 54. . Wide Receiver

We kick off our playoff teams with a team that not only made the final-14, but also hold three first round picks this April. That team, of course, is the Philadelphia Eagles, who, after taking two defensive players early on in round one, turn their focus to the offense here.

With pick No. 19 overall, the Eagles get a standout weapon for Jalen Hurts, who will be the team’s starting quarterback in 2022. That weapon is Jameson Williams, who tore up his knee in the national title game, but still is slated for the first round, and should be ready to go next summer to help this Eagles offense move in the right direction.

55. . Offensive Lineman. Pittsburgh Steelers. Kenyon Green. 20. player

As it stands, it seems like the Pittsburgh Steelers may be keen on starting Mason Rudolph next season, a player who has backed up Ben Roethlisberger for some time now. While Mike Tomlin could certainly change his mind, and he has said he wants a quarterback with some ‘mobility,’ if Rudolph is the starter, he needs help upfront.

That would make it easy to see why the Steelers select Kenyon Green with the 20th overall pick this April, and make him a starter on Day 1. Green can play inside or out at the next level, but he will likely stay inside on this Steelers offensive line, clearing holes for star running back Najee Harris.

47. . Cornerback. New England Patriots. Andrew Booth Jr.. 21. player

Going into the playoffs, many felt that Mac Jones could end up being the first rookie to lead his team to a Super Bowl in league history. Of course, that was before the trip to Buffalo, a game that saw the Patriots absolutely shredded by Josh Allen, who is now the face of the AFC West with Tom Brady in Tampa Bay.

Watching the Patriots defense against Buffalo, they need help in the secondary, as their players are either not good enough, or getting too old. One player who could help them in a big way is Andrew Booth Jr., a shutdown cornerback from Clemson would could end up being a top-15 pick when all is said and done.

. Wide Receiver. Las Vegas Raiders. Chris Olave. 22. player. 28

For the Las Vegas Raiders, the 2021 season has to be seen as a success, especially after everything they went through on and off the field. Interim head coach Rich Bisaccia led this team to a 10-7 record, and the No. 5 overall seed in the AFC, which is incredible when you really sit down and think about it.

Now, they have to turn their attention to getting over the hump in the playoffs, as they have not won a playoff game in 20 years. A weapon like Ohio State star Chris Olave could certainly help them do that, and if the Raiders cannot bring in Davante Adams in free agency, wide receiver has to be the play in the first round this April.
