2022 NFL Mock Draft: 2 quarterbacks go in top 10

2022 NFL Mock Draft: Playoffs continue to shape first round
Picks No. 26 through 28
To the disbelief of many, the Miami Dolphins actually fired one of their best assets this offseason, as they let go of head coach Brian Flores. Flores has done a nice job building this franchise up since taking over a few years back, but now it is back to the drawing board for the higher-ups within the Miami Dolphins organization.
Picking at No. 26, and possibly even later if the San Francisco 49ers continue to win, the Dolphins have to address the offensive line. Quarterback Tua Tagovailoa showed flashes this season, but they need help in front of him, and Trevor Penning, while from a small school, plays at a big-time level.
In an AFC East matchup in the freezing cold, Josh Allen and the Buffalo Bills showed that they are the team to beat in the division, pummeling the New England Patriots. The Bills have all the talent they need to make a legitimate Super Bowl run, but they will have to go through the defensive Super Bowl representative in the AFC, Kansas City, to do so.
With the No. 27 overall pick, Buffalo should look to improve in the secondary, and I like Derion Kendrick to join fellow Clemson cornerback Andrew Booth Jr. in the first round. Kendrick is rangy, and is a solid cover corner, and on a team with few holes, cornerback is one of them.
Though the Detroit Lions hold the No. 2 overall pick in the 2022 NFL Draft, they also pick late in the first round, thanks to the trade they made with the Los Angeles Rams for Matthew Stafford. With the Rams pick, one that could be even later, the Lions do not pass on a quarterback this time, adding Desmond Ridder from Cincinnati at No. 28 overall.
Jared Goff did not play terrible football down the stretch, and there is good reason to believe he will be the guy in the Motor City for another year or two. In Ridder, Detroit gets a long-term solution at the position, but one that is going to need a little more experience before taking over full-time.
