Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers had some fun at Tom Brady’s expense, poking fun at the Bucs’ QB for his Deflategate controversy.

As great as Brady is, he’ll never outgrow Deflategate. It’s the one blip on his resume.

TB12 is the greatest quarterback to ever live, despite arguably not being the most talented quarterback who ever lived. In that sense, his accomplishments are even more impressive. That title — most talented — could go to Packers QB Aaron Rodgers.

Rodgers is preparing for a matchup with the San Francisco 49ers this weekend in the divisional round. Should the Packers win, they could face Brady’s Buccaneers.

Let’s focus on this week, though.

In an interview with Sportsnet, Rodgers took a funny shot at Brady, referencing Deflategate.

Rodgers threw some footballs at drones for Sportsnet, and made the reference when handed a football.

Aaron Rodgers just couldn’t help himself

Per the NFL, the Patriots illegally deflated footballs to benefit Tom Brady and their offense, at least in part. Brady was believed to have been aware of the scheme, so he was suspended four games.

That was the short version. ESPN has the long version.

Rodgers has been in the news plenty this season — unafraid to take on any and all detractors. Brady is not one of those, as he’s complimented Rodgers time and time again.

The Packers quarterback’s comment was all in good fun. He and Brady have nothing but respect for one another. Nonetheless, if the two do match up again in the NFC Championship Game, expect Brady to use this as fodder. He always does, and at 44 years old, still has a list of his detractors handy.

He and Rodgers are similar in that way. Rodgers had to attend Butte Community College before transferring to Cal. He was forced to wait until the end of the first round before he was selected by the Packers. It’s always been an uphill battle.
