Nick Dzubnar, LB

The Titans don’t exactly get a ton of production out of Nick Dzubnar. Though he does have a presence on special teams, that probably shouldn’t be the biggest priority for a team that wants to compete for Super Bowls.

But does it make a ton of sense for Tennessee to focus on paying a 30-year-old linebacker who had 15 regular season tackles for the Titans? While everyone enjoys rooting for underdogs like him, Dzubnar doesn’t rack up tackles. He’s not someone who snags interceptions.

While they could almost certainly make room for Dzubnar on their roster, there’s probably no real harm in the Titans letting him find another team and bringing in someone younger with more potential to help out in capacities that extend beyond special teams.

Now, there’s a decent argument to be made for keeping him as Dzubnar’s contract isn’t all that hefty. He could certainly help round out a roster.

But at the end of the day, the Titans will need to evaluate whether or not they have more pressing needs elsewhere. And with as much as they’re paying guys like Tannehill, Tennessee doesn’t have the luxury of being able to be carefree when making deals this offseason.
