WR. Buffalo Bills. 1. 16. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. Emmanuel Sanders. player

Emmanuel Sanders is a season-to-season player at wide receiver at this time

There is seemingly no way around it. Veteran wide receiver Emmanuel Sanders is almost certainly about to play for his fifth NFL team in four years. It may have been a cool story for him to join his former SMU teammate Cole Beasley in the Bills receiving corps, but there is a reason why Sanders has not stuck anywhere since midway through the 2019 NFL season with the Denver Broncos.

Sanders is about to turn 35 years old. Though he has shown he can be an effective No. 3 wide receiver in the league into his mid-30s, he is not worth the $6 million he got from the Bills during his one year of service with the team. He would have to take a hometown discount like Hughes probably would to stay, but it is hard to see a player show loyalty after only one year in town.

As for where Sanders could end up, he could follow Daboll just as easily as playing for any coach stemming from the Bill Parcells or Mike Shanahan coaching trees. He does seem to value playing for a winning organization and one that either has an elite offensive mind for a head coach or one that has an up-and-coming coordinator. With Gabriel Davis’ emergence, Sanders is totally gone.

Buffalo may not be losing a ton in free agency, but next year’s team could look slightly different.
