2. Georgia is a blue-blood program at the peak of its powers in a talent-rich state

Simply put, Georgia is at the peak of its powers as a blue-blood college football program. The Dawgs have the right head coach to where they are going to win at least 10 games annually and contend for national championships. Under Smart, Georgia recruits at a top-three level nationally. Most importantly, Georgia is a top-four state in the country when it comes to high school talent.

Basically, the cupboard will never be bare up in Athens under Smart’s watch. Given that Texas is rebuilding under Steve Sarkisian, Clemson seems to have hit its zenith under Dabo Swinney and Ole Miss is one Kiffin misstep from crashing back to earth, Georgia is clearly one of the most stable programs in the country right now. The first family in football can trust Coach Smart here.

If Manning goes to Georgia, he will be surrounded with consistently one of the best rosters in the country, one that is always in a position to compete for division titles, conference championships and College Football Playoff berths.

1. Kirby Smart is a national championship-winning coach who is going nowhere

This is the ultimate trump card Smart has over his mentor Nick Saban over in Tuscaloosa. Time is on Coach Smart’s side. He is only in his mid-40s, while his mentor is on the wrong side of 70. Alabama may be the reigning dynasty in college football, but Saban is not going to be doing this forever. By finally winning it all, Smart can now have a Vince Dooley type of run in the Classic City.

Unlike Saban, Smart is not an NFL guy. He may have spent a year with him on his 2006 Miami Dolphins staff, but Smart is not going to coach the Atlanta Falcons if Arthur Smith fails. He has a top-five job in the country at a place he loves. There is a reason all five living Georgia head coaches call Athens home. It may be new to the Manning Family, but it can begin feel like home for Arch.

There is not a head coach in college football with more stability and a brighter future than Smart.
