Browns: Odell Beckham Jr. swayed Von Miller away from Cleveland
By John Buhler
Odell Beckham Jr. may have persuaded his Los Angeles Rams teammate Von Miller from linking up with him on the Cleveland Browns last offseason.
It seems as though Odell Beckham Jr. played a big role in keeping former Denver Broncos star pass-rusher Von Miller from joining him in Northeast Ohio on the Cleveland Browns.
Beckham first rose to prominence in the NFL with the New York Giants. They have been terrible since he left, but he did not achieve the same level of success during his brief run in Cleveland. While Miller’s time in Denver seemed to be running out, one destination that made some sense for him was Cleveland. As it turns out, Beckham straight up told Miller not to come to Cleveland.
Fate would have it, Beckham and Miller are one win away from reaching the Super Bowl as members of the Los Angeles Rams.

Entering this past season, Cleveland was an on-the-rise team in the AFC. The Browns made the AFC playoffs for the first time in years and had an outside shot of getting to the Super Bowl. Well, it hit the fan like it tends to do in Cleveland. The Browns missed the playoffs and Beckham did not leave on the best of terms. As for the Rams, they are the favorites to win the NFC this season.
While head coach Sean McVay cannot beat the San Francisco 49ers for the life of him of late, the 2021 NFC Championship Game will be at home in beautiful SoFi Stadium. The winner of this game will face the winner of the Cincinnati Bengals at the Kansas City Chiefs game over in the AFC. Fate would have it the Rams could become the second team to play a Super Bowl in its own stadium.
Adding players like Beckham and Miller have been a huge boost to an already strong Rams team.
