Pick Analysis. Philadelphia Eagles. Boston Scott. 2. player. 54. Scouting Report. RB

Boston Scott could play for his former head coach to help in the ground game

As with the receiving corps, the Jaguars may not be in that bad of shape in the running backs department. However, Boston Scott is a soon-to-be free agent and has had great success playing for Pederson previously. Though giving a running back a second contract is always a tricky proposition, it is not like was the Eagles’ bell-cow back during his time within organization.

Scott will be 27 years old next year and coming off a campaign where he had career-highs in carries with 87 and touchdowns with seven, coming with a yard of his best rushing mark as well. In four years with the Eagles, Scott has shown he is a steady change-of-pace back and a capable receiver out of the backfield. This is something that could help give the Jaguars’ offense balance.

Of course, the Jaguars still have James Robinson under contract and former ACC standout Travis Etienne in the backfield. Jacksonville may be loaded with the rushing attack if Etienne plays up to his potential and Robinson keeps on doing what he does. However, there could be room for Scott in the Jacksonville backfield, especially if Pederson believe he can help his new football team win.

Scott may return to the Eagles, but the Jaguars’ interest in him could create a more robust market.
