UCLA basketball player Mac Etienne arrested after spitting on a fan following a loss to the Arizona Wildcats in Tuscon on Thursday night.

In a huge Pac-12 game, a UCLA basketball player lost his cool, spit on an Arizona fan and got arrested for it.

UCLA forward Mac Etienne was identified as the person who spit on fans sitting in Zona Zoo. The video shared by Barstool Arizona left no doubt about what happened after the high-profile game at the McKale Center in Thursday night. He was taken into custody shortly after the unfortunate incident after the ballgame.

No. 7 Arizona improved to 18-2 on the year after handing No. 3 UCLA its third loss of the season to fall to 16-3 on the season.

UCLA basketball: Mac Etienne arrested after spitting on Arizona fans

While some nasty things could have been said by the fans, spitting on someone in the crowd is a terrible look, especially if it is captured on video and then shared on social media. With these being the two best teams in the Pac-12 this year, they are presumably going to meet again with a conference championship on the line. No love is lost between these two power programs anyway.

For UCLA, the Bruins will take on the Arizona State Sun Devils in Tempe on Saturday night. As for Arizona, the Wildcats will host the No. 19 USC Trojans in Tuscon on Saturday afternoon. Though UCLA had already won the previous meeting in Los Angeles, expect for tensions to be high when these two college basketball blue-bloods meet potentially for a third time here in a few weeks.

The spit may have long since evaporated, but this embarrassing video will stand the test of time.
