Golden State Warriors — Steph Curry

2010-Present
24.3 points per game
6.5 assists per game
4.6 rebounds per game

For the first time on this list, we see a player who is not only still in the league, but he’s still with the team he made famous. Steph Curry might go down as the greatest point guard in the history of the sport. He’s been with the Golden State Warriors for 11 seasons now, and he’s as good now as he was at any point in the Warriors dynasty. Golden State is asking more of Curry now with Klay Thompson still recovering from his injury, and he’s responding. He’s averaging 26 points per game this season, and he averaged 32 points per game last season when Thompson was out.

Steph Curry completely changed the game of basketball. He told teams that they not only can focus on the 3-point shot but they should. The Warriors went to five straight NBA Finals, winning three of them. They beat every great team along the way. They beat the Chris Paul and James Harden-led Rockets, the Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook-led Thunder, and the LeBron James-led Cavaliers multiple times in the Finals (we won’t talk about the loss, though).

The Warriors became a dynasty after falling way below expectations for most of the team’s existence. Prior to this dynasty, the biggest moment in the team’s existence is beating the Mavericks in a first-round series. Now there are three championships, and they are a constant threat to win another one.

When it’s all said and done, Curry probably will take the crown as the greatest point guard in the history of the game. There has never been a player at this position that not only had an impact on the position but such an impact on the sport as a whole.
