The 2021 season was one where the Raiders saw one 2020 draft pick at the wide receiver spot’s career end and one 2019 pick who established himself as a bonafide star. Deep threat Henry Ruggs III is gone from the franchise, and he was the team’s first-round pick in 2020, but it was their fifth-round wideout in 2019 who became a Pro Bowler this season.

Hunter Renfrow will be back in 2022, as will Bryan Edwards, another 2020 wide receiver for the Raiders, but after that, it is a position group with a lot of questions. They could bring back Zay Jones, who is a pending free agent, but whatever they do, they have to address the position group in the 2022 NFL Draft.

In the third round, with pick No 86 overall, the Silver and Black add George Pickens, a player who tore his ACL in March of last year, but came on late to prove to be an elite talent down the stretch. He can stretch the field, something the Raiders lack, and if healthy, could end up being a legitimate WR1.
