2. Milwaukee Bucks

Going into the trade deadline, the defending champion Milwaukee Bucks were confident enough in their guard rotation to trade Donte DiVincenzo to the Kings. But in the time since then, the club lost Pat Connaughton to a hand injury that required surgery. As a result, Milwaukee is now dangerously thin when it comes to their guard rotation.

That obviously creates an easy fit for Dragic to come in, not need to be a star player, but also make a massive impact on a high-quality team as they look to relieve guys like Jrue Holiday and others down the stretch.

Dragic’s ability as a facilitator should play well with a balanced Bucks offensive attack and, just as importantly, his outside shooting should be a nice asset to complement Giannis Antetokounmpo. This would be another move that would simply be sensible for all involved.

1. Golden State Warriors

If you’re talking about a player trying to join a contender, then it would make sense for the Golden State Warriors to be involved. With Klay Thompson now back, this team is looking to return to their title-winning ways.

Having said that, connecting the Warriors to Dragic is a bit curious. Their more obvious need is for big men given the injuries to James Wiseman and Draymond Green. However, Golde State has already been connected to Dragic on the buyout market, so it stands to reason that they want to make such a move.

While the minutes for the veteran might not be obvious with Stephen Curry, Thompson, Jordan Poole and Gary Payton II clearly in the rotation right now, he could be a ball-handler that the backups aren’t necessarily able to be right now and, most importantly, he would proide some stable injury insurance for the guards in the Bay Area.
