3. Top free-agent wide receivers: Allen Robinson

A year after playing on the franchise tag, Robinson may finally get his wish to truly test free agency. Robinson has been plagued by poor quarterback play for years with the Chicago Bears but injuries really put a damper on his 2021 campaign.

Over the course of 12 games, Robinson caught 38 passes for 410 yards and a touchdown as his injury woes put him behind Darnell Mooney on Chicago’s depth chart. The Bears could look to re-sign Robinson to help put a strong supporting cast around Justin Fields but his poor performance at age 28 could cause them to question whether a long-term investment would be wise.

The 2021 campaign is likely a blip on the radar for Robinson, who caught a combined 200 passes over the previous two years despite working with Mitchell Trubisky and Nick Foles. An unquestioned No. 1 receiver at his best, Robinson is in line to get a massive payday if he isn’t tagged by Chicago again.

Given the uncertain availability of the Top 2 targets on this list, Robinson could definitely be the beneficiary of a bidding war from teams in need of receiver help. This situation could play to the benefit of Robinson, who can pick his ideal quarterback situation and look to land with a contender.
