1. Top free-agent wide receivers: Davante Adams

Anyone who has watched football knows that Adams is one of the top five wide receivers on the planet. Adams is entering free agency off of another monster season, where he caught 123 passes for 1,553 yards and 11 touchdowns to help Aaron Rodgers win his second-straight MVP award.

The elephant in the room for teams in pursuit of Adams is the Rodgers situation since he will likely follow his quarterback next season. The fact that Green Bay is also way over the salary cap could make it difficult to retain Adams, but the Packers have recently indicated that they will do whatever they have to do in order to entice Rodgers to stay at Lambeau Field beyond this season.

The franchise tag is also in play here as the Packers will likely find a way to tag Adams to either keep him around or guarantee draft-pick compensation via trade. The smart money in this scenario is that Adams either re-signs in Green Bay to stay with Rodgers or follows him to a new team.

If Rodgers does depart, however, Green Bay likely won’t tag Adams and a true bidding war could ensue in free agency. Adams’ preference would still likely be to remain with Rodgers but if a team with oodles of cap space like Jacksonville offers him a lot more money it would at least create a conversation.
