1. Kansas City Chiefs

You already knew the Chiefs were going to close us out. This is what Mathieu wants to happen, as he hasn’t held back in saying that he doesn’t want to leave Kansas City. It’s just unknown if general manager Brett Veach will be able to give him the money that he’s looking for.

After the AFC Championship Game loss to the Cincinnati Bengals, Mathieu was in tears when asked if he thought he’d be back with the team in 2022. Him being so emotional tells you how much he wants a reunion to happen.

“I mean, I hope so,” Mathieu said on a possible return via USA Today. “Ever since I came here, I’ve just tried to be the right kind of teammate. I’ve tried to play my part and you know, obviously, there’s always that feeling that you could make more plays for your team. But I’m hoping it works out. I don’t have any control over that.

“I feel like everything that was in my control, I tried my best to handle it and to do it with a smile. I love this team and I love this locker room. There’s a lot of coaches that I have great relationships with. So I’m hoping, yeah.”

There’s some complicated decisions on the way for Veach and the Kansas City front office. They’d hate to see Mathieu leave. The superstar defensive back doesn’t want that to happen either.

Tyrann Mathieu is tired of the Twitter hate from Chiefs fans. dark. Next
