3. Jahmyr Gibbs, running back

Like Burton, Jahmyr Gibbs is a transfer from the state of Georgia, specifically Georgia Tech. His 746 yards rushing as a freshman may not put jaws on the floor statistically, but he was an absolute stud for the Yellow Jackets. He’s good enough to contend for national awards in crimson. Alabama was going to enter 2022 with uncertainty at running back after Brian Robinson Jr.’s departure. Gibbs’ addition makes things a lot more clear.

2. Cameron Latu, tight end

Alabama expected to lose a ton of big names on offense but they managed to bring one key figure back in Cameron Latu. The tight end was third in receiving yards with 410 last year. He was a key red-zone threat as well with eight touchdowns. Critically, he’s going to be one of the few familiar targets for Yong to lean on in 2022.

1. Bryce Young, quarterback

Returning a Heisman-winning quarterback is a pretty outstanding advantage to have. Young lit up college football with 47 touchdowns as a sophomore. He ranked in the Top 10 in most relevant statistics. And he’s back as a junior with another year of experience under his belt.
