4. Pittsburgh Steelers

It was just a few years ago that the Steelers had one of the better offensive lines in the league. Oh, how times change. 2021 was a low for that unit. The Steelers finished 31st in pass block win-rate and 30th in run block win-rate and Ben Roethlisberger averaged just 2.26 seconds in the pocket, per PFF. That lack of protection and emphasis on a necessary quick passing game severely hampered the Steelers’ offensive production.

Now, without Roethlisberger, the Steelers move to a new era, but the poor offensive line still remains. The Steelers will be forced to address the quarterback position over the next few months – and while that should take precedence over everything else – they can’t forget about upgrading the offensive line.

If upgrading the offensive line is a priority, then the Steelers should look to signing Brown. If they draft a rookie quarterback, Brown will be a perfect candidate to protect his blindside while helping the offensive line grow. If the choice is to go with an experienced veteran who can help the team win now, then Brown is still a solid choice. He’s just coming to his peak and has playoff experience.

Plus, who doesn’t look good in the black and gold?
