Pick Analysis. Austin Corbett. G. Los Angeles Rams. 3. player. 51. Scouting Report

If the Bengals steal a player off the Los Angeles Rams, it has to be Austin Corbett

No team looked more foolish from a third-party perspective in Super Bowl 56 than the Cleveland Browns. Not only were the rival Bengals playing in the Super Bowl instead of them, but many of their former players were starring on the big stage either for Cincinnati or the Los Angeles Rams. One player who is poised for a pay day in free agency is Rams offensive lineman Austin Corbett.

Corbett was traded over from the Browns to the Rams midway through the 2019 NFL season. All he has done in 2.5 years with the Rams is be an everyday starter in the trenches for a Super Bowl Championship team. Given how difficult it is to draft and develop high-quality linemen, Corbett will be getting a huge bump in salary. If said pay day is coming from Los Angeles remains to be seen.

Unlike the Bengals, the Rams are operating at a deficit when it comes to the 2022 salary cap. While it is not by much, the Rams will need to move some money around if they want to get under and retain some of their bigger free agents. Of course, the Bengals can afford to pry Corbett out of Los Angeles if the money is right. He will be one of the most prized guards hitting NFL free agency.

The Bengals have to aggressively attack its deficiencies along the offensive line this offseason.
