While some Bucs fans are holding out hope Tom Brady will play next season, head coach Bruce Arians doesn’t think it’s going to happen.

From the moment Tom Brady announced that he was retiring, countless people in Tampa Bay were heartbroken. They were hoping Brady would come back for maybe one more season to try and get the Bucs back to the Super Bowl.

Despite Brady letting everyone know he’s hanging up his cleats, rumors continue to rise stating that Brady might consider only staying retired for a short period and suit up next season. Head coach Bruce Arians would of course love that to happen, but he isn’t buying into that talk.

Bruce Arians doesn’t think Tom Brady will un-retire to play in 2022

Either Arians is playing some serious mind games with the rest of the NFL, or he really doesn’t think Brady will be back. The guess here is that Arians truly thinks Brady has played his last snap after what was a historic career.

Brady lifted the Lombardi Trophy a record seven times in his career, doing so on six occasions with the New England Patriots and once in February of 2021 with the Bucs. He shocked the world when he powered Tampa Bay over the Chiefs in the Super Bowl last winter.

The Bucs had plenty of promise to repeat as champs this year, but they lost to the Los Angeles Rams in the Divisional Round. LA ended up winning it all, beating the Cincinnati Bengals in a thrilling Super Bowl showdown earlier this month.

For Arians, he’s going to have to try and find a new starting quarterback leading up to Week 1. The thought of Brady pulling a fast one and coming back sounds great, but it just doesn’t feel likely at this point.
