WWE releases: Tracking superstars, talent let go in 2022

WWE talent were informed of their releases from their contracts in 2022. Here are the performers who were let go from the company.

WWE is one of the largest sports entertainment companies in the world, as they have millions of viewers tuning in to their television shows on a weekly basis. Not only that, but fans follow news related to the company.

In the past couple of years, the company was in the news for releasing superstars and talent. Just in 2021 alone, WWE released over 80 superstars and talent.

In terms of being released, that means WWE is letting superstars and talent out of their contracts. It can happen for a variety of reasons, much like in any professional sports league. It could be for budget reasons, disciplinary measures or if the company does not have any future plans for the talent. Also, a superstar or talent can request their release from their deal to hit free agency.
