1. Who steps up as Bryce Young’s go-to targets in the Alabama receiving corps?

While there are no certainties in the Alabama backfield, or a ton of experience at cornerback, without question, the biggest issue the Crimson Tide face heading into spring practice is the overall viability of a depleted receiving corps. Alabama loses Jameson Williams, John Metchie III and Slade Bolden off of its receiving corps to the 2022 NFL Draft. They will be tough to replace.

Alabama did poach former Georgia wide receiver Jermaine Burton in the transfer portal. Though turning heel could be a bad look for him down the line, he is an elite talent and one Young should have no problem rifling the pigskin to. While Cameron Latu should be one of the better tight ends in the SEC again next year, it remains to be seen who will step up as Alabama’s No. 2 wide receiver.

Right now, it is probably Ja’Corey Brooks, who made an unforgettable catch in the Iron Bowl victory over Auburn. Agiye Hall may have the most talent of any returning Alabama receiving, but he was a non-factor throughout much of his freshman campaign. This is also an opportunity for Traeshon Holden to take advantage of an larger role in the Alabama receiving game this spring.

Young will make many of these guys better, but he did lose so much off last year’s receiving corps.
