The Tennessee Titans are one very intriguing potential trade destination for Green Bay Packers superstar quarterback Aaron Rodgers.

Of the three teams Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk listed as potential trade destinations for Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers, the Tennessee Titans have to be the most fascinating.

If a trade were to happen between these two franchises, Rodgers would be going from one No. 1 seed who lost at home in the Divisional Round to the other. Rodgers is in his late 30s, but has two more years left on his contract with the Packers. He also has procured raw land in the Greater Nashville Area. With the likes of Derrick Henry, A.J. Brown and Julio Jones, the Titans are so close.

If Tennessee did win the Rodgers sweepstakes, what could a Packers return package look like?

Aaron Rodgers rumors: What would a trade package from Titans look like?

For cap reasons, one would think Titans starting quarterback Ryan Tannehill would be going to Green Bay in exchange for Rodgers. As with Rodgers, Tannehill has two more years left on his current contract. Though he is a former first-rounder and a Pro Bowler himself, Green Bay will need way more than merely a top-half quarterback in the league coming their way for Rodgers.

Green Bay would obviously get the No. 26 overall pick in the 2022 NFL Draft from the Titans in exchange for Rodgers, but even that is not enough to make this deal work. Because Tannehill provides great value as a stop-gap starter at the very least in Green Bay, he makes former first-round pick Jordan Love expendable. So they could recoup some compensation by dealing Love.

That is why Green Bay should ask for the Titans’ first-round pick in 2023 as well, regardless of how bad it might be. Tennessee should be a title contender with Rodgers immediately, so maybe a future third-round pick will have to be placed into the pot to sweeten the deal? So for the Titans to get Rodgers, they may give up Tannehill, the No. 20 pick, a 2023 first and a future third-rounder.

Trading for Rodgers is all about raising the Titans’ ceiling and pushing for a trip to the Super Bowl.
