1. Jameson Williams

The fact that injury might prevent Williams from being ready when Week 1 rolls around is negatively impacting his draft stock in a major way. Turn on his tape at Alabama and you see a top-10 prospect. The Raiders would love to grab that kind of upside at No. 22.

Williams did most of his damage in the slot at Alabama so it might take a little time for him to adjust to working more on the boundary in the NFL. He has all the physical attributes to make that transition. On the other hand, McDaniels might just decide he’s too good to take out of the slot due to his big-play ability on the inside.

Williams has enough talent to draft first and figure out his exact position later. The Raiders’ offense needs more playmakers and that’s just what he is. Overthinking Williams as a prospect is the sort of thing that should get a GM fired.

If Las Vegas passes on Williams due to his medicals it will be an understandable decision. If they eschew those concerns and roll the dice on him it could turn out to be the biggest steal of this year’s draft. Raiders fans should hope to hear his name called when their favorite team goes on the clock in Round 1.
