1. Derek Stingley, Jr.

Stingley was unquestionably cornerback No. 1 heading into the season, but he’s been overtaken by Sauce Gardner after an erratic final season at LSU. None of that changes the reality that Stingley’s athletic talent allows him to project as an All-Pro corner if he stays healthy and gets focused.

That’s why the Eagles should be targeting him at No. 15. Generational cornerback prospects don’t usually fall that far in the draft. If scouts don’t start focusing on what Stingley does rather than the time he missed, they’re going to allow a potential superstar to fall into Philadelphia’s lap.

His injury issues are a concern, but his healthy tape doesn’t lie. He’s got great size for his position and some of the best hips of any prospect in recent seasons. There aren’t many shutdown corners in the modern NFL but Stingley has the talent to merit that kind of moniker.

Stingley carries some risk as a prospect but the Eagles can afford to take a big swing on his talent since they have three first-round selections at their disposal. Getting arguably the most physically gifted prospect in the class at No. 15 would be a coup for Philadelphia.
