4. Jaden Ivey, Guard, Purdue

Ivey will likely be the first guard taken in the 2022 NBA Draft and he’s impressed all season long with his speed, strength and relentless intensity. He’s averaged 17.4 points, 4.9 rebounds and 3.2 assists per game, shooting 46.2 percent from the field and 35.6 percent from beyond the arc. At 6-foot-4 with a strong frame, he’ll be able to overpower even a lot of NBA guards but improving his craft and advanced handle will really help him be effective in the halfcourt.

Ivey does a lot of his damage in transition and there are concerns about his outside shooting and his ability to create for others enough to be a primary initiator. But there are a lot of backcourt partners he could thrive with at the next level and, if nothing else, his ability to get himself to the line and create havoc in the open court should give him a solid foundation to build from.
