2022 NFL Mock Draft: Needs continue to change as league year begins
By Brad Weiss
The Tennessee Titans have been one of the better teams in the AFC since Mike Vrabel took over as a head coach, but it is time for them to take the next step. They made it to a conference title game a few years back but were bounced from the playoffs early on this past season, so changes to the roster are coming.
Picking this late in round one, the Titans can still add a key piece, as Trevor Penning could be available for them to revamp their offensive line. They need help at the tackle position and based on his size and strength, Penning will be a Day 1 starter at the next level.
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers got the best news of all this offseason, as Tom Brady decided to come out of retirement after a month and a half of rest. That means TB12 will be looking to get this team back to the playoffs next season, and based on the Tampa Bay roster, he has a good chance to do just that.
Looking at the roster, they need help along the defensive line, and Devonte Wyatt is someone who has done enough this draft season to warrant a first-round grade. Wyatt would slide in as a starter for this Bucs defense, which lost a lot of veteran talent due to free agency, making this a nice fit.
The Green Bay Packers will have Aaron Rodgers back for the foreseeable future, but what is the roster going to look like around him. They spent a lot of money to bring the reigning MVP of the league back, and since then, Davante Adams has told the team he will not play on the franchise tag.
Based on need, especially on defense, the Packers are going to be looking to add edge-rushing talent, and there is a lot of it in this draft class. Even this late, a player like Cameron Thomas could come in and help them right away, bolstering a weak spot going into this offseason.
