2022 NFL Mock Draft: Needs continue to change as league year begins
By Brad Weiss
The Miami Dolphins will be picking late in round one, this after the San Francisco 49ers made it to the NFC title game. With this pick, they need to bring in a weapon for Tua Tagovailoa, especially if they think he is the team’s future at the quarterback spot.
Adding Chris Olave to an offense that already has Jaylen Waddle entering his second year would give the Dolphins two young and elite weapons to throw to. The team also brought back Preston Williams in free agency, so the depth is there moving forward.
The Kansas City Chiefs figure to be one of the best teams in the NFL again next season, as they are not losing much in terms of talent. However, their defense looked very beatable during the playoffs, and they should use this late first-round pick on that side of the ball.
Enter Devin Lloyd, a player many consider a top-2 linebacker in this draft class, and one that fills an immediate void on this Kansas City defense. The Chiefs have all the offensive firepower they need, so fixing the holes on the defense will be key this offseason if they want to get back to the Super Bowl after losing in the AFC title game last year.
