Former Buccaneers receiver Antonio Brown is now flirting with Cleveland after the Browns traded for quarterback Deshaun Watson.

The Browns may have just made the biggest trade in franchise history, sending five draft picks to Houston to get Deshaun Watson.

Watson could change the fortunes of a franchise that has been more prone to circuses than championships.

That doesn’t mean Cleveland couldn’t still make some clownish decisions. Like listening to Antonio Brown.

Antonio Brown wants to join the Browns circus

The former Buccaneers receiver is now courting the Browns on Twitter.

“Cleveland Antonio Browns,” he wrote after the news broke. “C-A-B.”

He added: “Take the Browns to SuperBowl. Not ToiletBowl.”

As fitting as Brown-with-the-Browns might be, the receiver is a free agent with arguably more red flags than anyone else on the market combined.

He did help the Bucs win the Super Bowl in 2020 but his split from them was the most contentious of his career (which is saying something). Brown’s dispute with the team over an injury or targets ended in him pulling off his pads and jersey in the middle of a game and storming off the field. He’s since accused the Bucs of mismanaging his injured ankle while burning bridges with head coach Bruce Arians and quarterback Tom Brady.

Brown has been accused of personal and sexual misconduct in the past, leading to his release by the Patriots. He had an alleged physical altercation with Raiders GM Mike Mayock which culminated in his release earlier that same year.

His departure from the Steelers was similarly drama-filled, including arguments with quarterback Ben Roethlisberger, skipped practices and more. He was traded in 2019.

All that is to say, the Browns could take a chance on the soon-to-be 33-year-old coming off ankle surgery and with a history of questionable behavior if they’re still attached to the circus music. He seems up for it.
