2022 NBA Mock Draft 1.0: Who will shine during March Madness?

Daniels isn’t outstanding in any one area but he has good size (6-foot-6) on the wing and a well-rounded game that should allow him to contribute in a variety of ways. Playing for the G League Ignite team this season, he’s averaged 13.1 points, 6.9 rebounds, 5.1 assists and 2.2 steals per 36 minutes on a 54.0 true shooting percentage. He’ll need to get much better as an outside shooter but even marginal improvements there could make him extremely valuable as a complementary piece.
The Hawks are kind of in flux after taking a step back this season and may need to re-evaluate how they want to build around Trae Young. Daniels’ versatility could make him extremely appealing as a strong defensive wing who can function off-the-ball and as an offensive connector when sharing the court with Young or handle more primary creation responsibilities when Young is resting.
