TyTy Washington. 12. player. 142. . Guard. Washington Wizards

Washington is the closest thing we’ll find to a pure point guard in the lottery portion of this year’s class. Although he has good size at 6-foot-3 he has average athleticism and mostly defeats defenders with his craft, patience and savvy. That lack of speed and explosiveness limits him as a defender and may impact his ability to finish reliably at the next level. But he’s a strong pull-up jumper shooter and a very solid passer and creator for his teammates.

The Wizards are in the midst of a playoff push and other pieces of their roster have come together with Rui Hachimura, Kyle Kuzma, Deni Avdija and Kristaps Porzingis playing well. When Bradley Beal returns next season they should have a deep rotation with point guard as the one obvious hole. Washington is probably not a future star but he’s a nice upgrade over the Wizards’ current options and he could definitely help raise their ceiling next season and beyond.
