Browns will have a tough time getting any team to take Baker Mayfield
With Deshaun Watson heading to the Cleveland Browns, all eyes are on Baker Mayfield to see when he gets traded.
The breaking news that Deshaun Watson has not only been traded to the Cleveland Browns but also signed a monster new contract means that Baker Mayfield’s days with the team are no more. The veteran signal-caller had requested a trade earlier in the week too.
Moving forward, both the Indianapolis Colts and Seattle Seahawks are two teams in particular that stand out. However, it’s going to be easier said than done for the Browns to finalize a trade in the near future.

Browns are hoping to trade Baker Mayfield as soon as possible
There’s been plenty of drama surrounding Mayfield and the Browns in recent weeks. Once it was made known that Cleveland was looking to try and trade for Watson, Mayfield understandably was not happy.
He thought he had the trust of the organization to lead this team moving forward, but they decided Watson is their guy. Originally, it was reported that Watson had eliminated the Browns from contention to land him, but there was a change at the last minute.
For Mayfield, it’s been reported that he prefers a move to the Colts over the Seahawks. Seattle just traded Russell Wilson to the Denver Broncos. For now, it’s looking like Drew Lock will be their QB moving forward, but Mayfield would surely be a step up.
The Colts themselves traded Carson Wentz to the Washington Commanders too, as that pairing didn’t workout whatsoever. Soon enough everyone will find out where Mayfield will be playing in 2022, but it’s quite clear that won’t be happening in Cleveland. The Browns will need to get creative in trying to finalize a deal as well.
