Maxx Crosby has science on his side when it comes recruiting Tyrann Mathieu away from the Kansas City Chiefs and onto the Las Vegas Raiders in his free agency.

Las Vegas Raiders star pass-rusher Maxx Crosby is doing his part of convincing Kansas City Chiefs superstar safety Tyrann Mathieu to turn heel in his free agency and join the dark side.

Crosby and Mathieu have competed against each other for years in the AFC West. While both have become Pro Bowlers for their rival teams, Mathieu has a rare opportunity to go Rich Gannon on everyone, the anti-Marcus Allen so to speak. Crosby may already have new teammates like Chandler Jones and Davante Adams in tote, but he is going after The Honey Badger big time now.

Honey badgers are Silver and Black, so it is only fate that Mathieu takes his talents to Las Vegas.

While the Raiders have greatly improved their roster in NFL free agency, the same thing cannot be said for the Chiefs. No longer can Kansas City safely say its team will win the AFC West for the umpteenth year in a row. The Raiders were a playoff team a season ago with an interim coach and are a lot better. The Denver Broncos and the Los Angeles Chargers have made big splashes, too.

At this juncture, it seems as though the Chiefs are more likely to bring in Stephon Gilmore to revamp their secondary than to give Mathieu another contract. They did not retain cornerback Charvarius Ward, who signed with the San Francisco 49ers. Though other teams are in the mix for Mathieu’s services, the big team to keep an eye on in his free agency are the Indianapolis Colts.

Now that the Colts have a solution at quarterback in Matt Ryan, they can go out and compete for championships. At this point in Mathieu’s career, he can pick and choose where he goes. He already has the personal accolades from his three previous stops, as well as a Super Bowl from his first year with the Chiefs. If money talks, then Mathieu may end up with the Silver and Black.

By using science, it is an undeniable truth that Crosby has made a compelling case to Mathieu.
