UNC basketball: Who is going to the NBA Draft?

It is not a secret that Caleb Love, Armando Bacot, and Brady Manek are UNC’s star players. Love and Bacot are two potential players UNC is likely to lose to the upcoming draft, while Manek is gone either way due to not having eligibility left.

Caleb Love, Guard

The sophomore combo-guard has thrived during his time at UNC, averaging 15.9 PPG, 3.4 RPG, and 3.6 APG this season. Love has developed as a shooter in his second year and has been a key asset in the Tar Heel’s success in the NCAA Tournament. Though it is likely that Love is set to leave for the draft, there is a chance he may return to UNC for another year.

Armando Bacot, Center

The team’s leading scorer and big man could be heading off the draft, after having a successful season with UNC. Bacot finished the season with 16.3 PPG, 13.1 RPG, and 1.5 APG and has been a breakout star for the Tar Heels. Bacot has been featured in some mock drafts, but none projected Bacot in the first round. Bacot’s overall draft stock could determine if UNC will see him next season or lose their star big man to the draft.

Brady Manek, Forward

The 6-foot-9 senior has no remaining eligibility and can only turn to continue his basketball career by entering the NBA draft. Manek finished the season averaging 15.1 PPG, 6.1 RPG, and 1.8 APG. Manek scored double figures in every NCAA Tournament game.
