2022 NFL Mock Draft: New No. 1 overall pick emerges for Jaguars
By Brad Weiss
The Arizona Cardinals are having a rough offseason, and now it looks like they will have to get a new deal done with Kyler Murray. Reports are out there that say Murray will not play on his current deal, so let the fun begin in the desert.
Pick No. 23 in the first round needs to be used on the defense, however, especially in the secondary. There are a handful of first-round cornerbacks this year, and Trent McDuffie certainly is one of them, filling a big hole in the Cardinals’ defensive backfield.
There has been a lot of noise surrounding the Dallas Cowboys this offseason, and not all of it has been positive. Still, this is a team with enough talent to win the NFC East next season, but to do so, they need to make sure they keep Dak Prescott healthy.
With pick No. 24 overall in the first round, the Cowboys continue to build on a strength, bringing in Boston College star offensive guard Zion Johnson. The Cowboys have been elite upfront for quite some time, and Johnson will make sure that continues.
Last season, the Buffalo Bills took another step in the right direction, and they do not seem to be slowing down any time soon. With a new stadium on the horizon, the Bills are making sure their current stars stay in place, including wide receiver Stefon Diggs.
With Diggs back, and Josh Allen continuing to develop into one of the best quarterbacks in the league, Buffalo needs to continue to bolster the offensive line in front of him. Kenyon Green is a versatile offensive lineman that fits a few spots for the Bills and would be a steal here at No. 25 overall.
