The Miami Heat will host the Atlanta Hawks in Game 1 of their Eastern Conference playoff series on Easter Sunday.

As it is with each postseason series out east, a pair of division rivals will be clashing in round one, as the No. 1 Miami Heat will host the No. 8 Atlanta Hawks in their best-of-seven.

Miami earned the top seed in the East this year after a down season from the one prior. Playing deep into the summer in the Orlando bubble hurt the Heat’s rise last season. However, they have bounced back and look to be one of a handful of teams capable of winning the conference this year. Unfortunately for them, they get to face a tough and battle-tested No. 8 seed with Atlanta.

The Hawks had a deep postseason run last year, coming up two games short of winning the East. Atlanta had a rough middle of the season due to essentially playing a G League roster because of an internal COVID outbreak. Once the Hawks got their bearings back under them, they began to take flight. Under-seeded once again, Atlanta will try to push this series to six or seven games.

Here is what you need to know to watch the Heat take on the Hawks in Game 1 on Sunday.
