5 teams that should trade up in the 2022 NFL Draft

New Orleans Saints may need keep pace in imminent NFC South QB arms race
Are you ready for the NFC South Nash equilibrium quarterback bonanza? Outside of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, we have been presented problems and offered no solutions at the quarterback position in this division. While Jameis Winston can eat a W every now and then, the New Orleans Saints have to accept that Drew Brees ain’t walking through that door, and Taysom Hill ain’t it.
With two first-round picks (No. 16 and No. 19), both by way of Philadelphia somehow, the Saints have the draft capital to get into the top 10 and take a rookie quarterback. This would help them keep pace with the Carolina Panthers picking at No. 6 and the Atlanta Falcons at No. 8. If Kenny Pickett and Malik Willis are off the board, the Saints could potentially reach on say … Matt Corral.
Until the Saints get answers at quarterback, it is going to be a year-to-year proposition for them.
Pittsburgh Steelers must target Ben Roethlisberger’s heir apparent in this draft
When Ozzie Newsome decided to exit the Baltimore Ravens’ front office gracefully, he blessed his beloved franchise with one last elite pick. Yes, he is the man responsible for Baltimore trading back into the first round to draft Lamar Jackson out of Louisville No. 32 in the 2018 NFL Draft. They might be rivals, but could Kevin Colbert look to do something like that for the Pittsburgh Steelers?
While Pittsburgh has the No. 20 overall pick this spring, the Steelers are not in position to draft Pickett or Willis and would be lucky if Corral falls to them. So unless they are adamant believers in Desmond Ridder or Sam Howell are the next Ben Roethlisberger, it would serve the Steelers to give up the farm so they can get inside of the top 10 to appropriately find Big Ben’s successor.
If they do not do that, then Steelers fans can look forward to Mitch Trubisky airmailing everything.
